Leaders advises Bridgecorp on its sale of assets to Pike Industries
Two of New England's oldest and best known construction companies made news recently when 129-year-old, Augusta, Maine-based road building contractor, Bridgecorp, was sold to 132-year-old Pike Industries, headquartered in Belmont, New Hampshire. Fourth-generation Bridgecorp owner and president, John C. Bridge, announced the sale on Friday, February 20. Bridge, 71, has led the company since 1975. "This sale meets all of my personal goals," said Bridge. "As I approach my retirement, it was a priority to find a buyer with as much history and community stature as Bridgecorp enjoys. As one of Northern New England's largest and most respected paving contractors, Pike Industries exceeded these expectations and at 132 years old, even has three more years of history."
