Leaders' principal Matthew Caras re-joins Verrill Dana LLP as part-time counsel to Verrill Dana’s Business Law Group.
January, 2009On January 1, 2009, Matthew L. Caras, a founder and principal of Leaders LLC, re-joined Verrill Dana LLP as part-time counsel to Verrill Dana’s Business Law Group. Verrill Dana is a full-service law firm with more than 100 attorneys conducting a nationwide practice from offices in Portland and Augusta, Maine, Boston, Massachusetts, Hartford, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. In his role as part-time counsel to Verrill Dana, Matt will be supporting the firm’s mergers and acquisitions and commercial practices, as well as assisting with the development of a business, commercial and transaction mediation practice at the firm. Matt practiced law with Verrill Dana for more than a decade prior to forming Leaders LLC; during that time he was a partner, department chair, and member of the firm’s management committee. Matt is and will continue to be a principal and the managing partner of Leaders LLC, working full-time with Leaders’ clients on transactions of all kinds, including sales, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, management buyouts, and shareholder buyouts. Matt heads up Leaders’ petroleum marketing and propane practices, industries in which Leaders has completed 11 transactions since 2006.
